As Immigration and Customs Enforcement continues its violent siege in Minnesota<\/a> and across the U.S., Lady Gaga paused her show in Tokyo on Thursday to speak out<\/a> against the federal immigration raids<\/a>. \u201cI want to take a second to talk about something that\u2019s extremely important to me \u2014 something important to people all over the world, and especially in America right now,\u201d Gaga told the crowd. \u201cMy heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, the families, all over America who are being mercilessly targeted by ICE. I\u2019m thinking about all of their pain, and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us.\u201d<\/p>\n Lady Gaga condemns ICE in heartfelt speech at the MAYHEM Ball in Tokyo tonight:<\/p>\n “I want to take a second to talk about something that\u2019s extremely important to me. Something important to people all over the world and especially in America right now. In a couple of days, I’m gonna\u2026 pic.twitter.com\/UmfXmZIKPy<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Gaga Daily (@gagadaily) January 29, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWhen entire communities lose their sense of safety and belonging, it breaks something in all of us,\u201d Gaga continued.\u00a0\u201cI hope that you\u2019ll all stand with us tonight. I know we\u2019re not in America right now, but we are with our community, and we love you.\u201d She went on to dedicate one of her songs, \u201cCome to Mama,\u201d to \u201ceveryone who is suffering, to everyone who\u2019s feeling alone and helpless, anyone who\u2019s lost a loved one and is having a difficult time \u2014 an impossible time \u2014 seeing when the end will be near.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe need to get back to a place of safety and peace and accountability,\u201d she added. \u201cGood people shouldn\u2019t have to fight so hard and risk their lives for well-being and respect. And I hope our leaders are listening.
