\n\tThe first high-res images of Paul Mescal<\/a>, Harris Dickinson<\/a>, Joseph Quinn<\/a> and Barry Keoghan<\/a> in character as the Beatles<\/a> have arrived.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe photos of the Hollywood stars were first printed out by Sony <\/a>on four different postcards and dispersed throughout Liverpool\u2019s Institute of Performing Arts, as well as in Hamburg, New York City and Tokyo, on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Friday, the images in all their glory were released to the press (see below), showing Mescal as Paul McCartney, Dickinson as John Lennon, Quinn as George Harrison and Keoghan as Ringo Starr on set. Also starring in the films is Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey.<\/p>\n

\n\tSam Mendes\u2018\u00a0The Beatles\u00a0\u2013 A Four-Film Cinematic Event\u00a0is currently set to premiere in theaters April 2028, with each movie following a different member of the biggest-selling music act of all time. Production is underway on the films, which makes sense given the mop top haircut Keoghan was sporting at the Crime 101 premiere in London earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Liverpudlian band first skyrocketed to fame in 1963 and would break hundreds of industry records before their official breakup in 1970. McCartney and Starr remain the only surviving members after Lennon\u2019s 1980 assassination and Harrison\u2019s 2001 death from lung cancer.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe movies officially\u00a0announced the four leads\u00a0at last year\u2019s CinemaCon, where Mendes took the stage with the stars. \u201cWe\u2019re not just making one film about the\u00a0Beatles\u00a0\u2014 we\u2019re making four,\u201d he had told the crowd: \u201cPerhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMendes produces alongside Neal Street Productions\u2019 Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. Writing the screenplays are Ford v Ferrari\u2018s Jez Butterworth, Conclave\u2018s Peter Straughan and Adolescence\u2018s Jack Thorne \u2014\u00a0a trio which should, given their recent award wins, fill the average Beatles fan with hope.<\/p>\n

\n\tTom Rothman told The Hollywood Reporter about getting signoff from the band\u2019s label Apple Corps: \u201cYou have to match the boldness of the idea with a bold release strategy.
