<\/p>\n ABILENE – The ACU women’s tennis team opened the 2026 home season with a 4-3 win over UT San Antonio, giving the Wildcats two straight victories over a span of 11 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n After dropping the doubles point, the Wildcats battled back in the singles portion of the afternoon, leaving it all up to the final match.<\/p>\n Elsa Luthar<\/a> won the first set in her match, but after losing the second, she had to battle her way back to a victory. With her teammates cheering her on from the sideline, Luthar went on to win the critical third set, 6-3.\u00a0<\/p>\n Other victories for the Cats came courtesy of Masha Vrsalovic<\/a> and Alice Klinteby<\/a> in straight sets, while Maria Cascos<\/a> won in the third set.<\/p>\n The team lost to the Roadrunners 6-1 in the 2025 season, letting Friday’s win show major improvement in the roster’s abilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n UP NEXT<\/p>\n The Wildcats will have a quick turnaround as they host the Stephen F.
