Sterling K Brown’s sci-fi thriller Paradise has unveiled its season two trailer, ahead of its upcoming return next month. The “exciting” series was renewed for a second instalment<\/a> last February, weeks before the season one finale had even hit our screens. <\/p>\n

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Paradise<\/a> centres around a serene community made up of society’s most prominent individuals. When a natural disaster left the earth uninhabitable, the elite were forced to retreat to the underground bunker. <\/p>\n

In season one, Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Brown) is investigated in connection to the president’s (James Marsden) sudden death. As Collins searches for the truth, he uncovers some shocking details about life outside of the bunker and his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma), who was left behind. <\/p>\n

The season two trailer, which was posted on YouTube<\/a>, picks up from the events of the finale, with Xavier leaving to look for his wife in Atlanta. However, his mission doesn’t go smoothly and we see clips of the plane crashing. <\/p>\n

“It was never just about the bunker! Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since ‘The Day’. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins,” reads the description. <\/p>\n

Following the crash, Xavier comes face to face with a survivor (played by Shailene Woodley), who has been living on Earth since the doomsday event. She asks what the bunker is like, to which he replies: “It’s like before \u2013 only creepier.”<\/p>\n

While the pair embark on a journey to find Teri, things inside the enclosure descend into chaos, with a war seemingly on the horizon. “I’m gonna do whatever it takes to protect what I’ve built,” declares Samantha ‘Sinatra’ Redmond (Julianne Nicholson). <\/p>\n

The show, which was created by This Is Us<\/a> boss Dan Fogelman, has an 86% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> from 80 reviews, with Inverse<\/a> praising its “sharp sci-fi twist”.<\/p>\n

In Digital Spy’s review<\/a>, we described Paradise as “shockingly addictive”, adding: “Just when you’re ready to throw in the towel in search of something with a bit more bite, it drags you back in for ‘just one more episode’, an insatiable need to know the whos, whats and whys of the piece.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, SSG Syndicate<\/a> branded it “the most exciting new drama series of 2025”, which “combines a sci-fi apocalyptic theme with a compelling whodunnit.” <\/p>\n

Paradise returns to Disney+ on 23 February.<\/p>\n
