India\u2019s Anahat Singh<\/a> secured her maiden PSA Bronze-level title with a victory over top seed Georgina Kennedy of England in the final of the Squash On Fire Open 2026 in Washington on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Anahat\u2019s Squash On Fire Open triumph was the biggest title of her fledgling career so far and a first in a World event. It was also her 15th title overall on the PSA Tour.<\/p>\n

World No. 31 Anahat Singh beat reigning Commonwealth Games<\/a> champion Georgina Kennedy, 10th in the women\u2019s singles squash<\/a> rankings, 3-0 (12-10, 11-5, 11-7) in 26 minutes to claim the title.<\/p>\n

After receiving a bye in the first round of the tournament, Anahat Singh overcame South Africa\u2019s Hayley Ward in the pre-quarters, second seed Sana Ibrahim of Egypt in the quarter-finals and Sabrina Sobhy of the USA in the semis to enter the final.<\/p>\n

In the first game of the final, Anahat Singh trailed 10-8 before fighting back by taking four consecutive points to clinch the opener.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old Anahat Singh was also 3-2 down early in the second game, but rallied with a four-point burst and then conceded only two more points to close out the game in command.<\/p>\n

The Indian squash player<\/a> dominated the third game, racing to a 5-1 lead in under two minutes before powering her way to her maiden PSA Bronze-level title.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m extremely happy,\u201d Anahat said. \u201cComing into this event, I played the British Junior Open a few weeks back and I didn\u2019t play too well. I knew in between these events I had some time to train, and I did as much as I possibly could to get the best out of my game.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew I wanted to do well in these events, get my ranking up and also put on a performance, and I\u2019m glad I was able to do that this time,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Anahat Singh\u2019s win over Georgina Kennedy was her first in two meetings against the Englishwoman.<\/p>\n
