The disclosure of more than 3m files related to Jeffrey Epstein suggests that other men were involved in his sexual abuse, prompting questions about officials\u2019 contentions<\/a> that there isn\u2019t evidence to investigate third parties for potential involvement in the late financier\u2019s crimes.<\/p>\n

Some newly released documents contain allegations that Epstein provided victims to other men. Documents released in prior disclosures, as well as court documents, also point to others\u2019 possible criminal involvement with Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.<\/p>\n

One accuser said that Maxwell told her that Epstein had to leave his house but that there was a friend staying who she could massage. During this encounter, this associate allegedly offered her money if she engaged in sex.<\/p>\n

The woman alleged that she did so and that this friend paid her money. A \u201cprosecution memorandum\u201d dated 26 January 2021 and signed by assistant US attorneys from the southern district of New York <\/a>described this encounter and said that when the woman\u2019s lawyers showed her a photo of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, she identified him as this man. The names of the US attorneys are redacted.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear to what extent authorities investigated these allegations. Weinstein was never charged for any conduct related to Epstein.<\/p>\n

One document, and FBI presentation that appears to have been created sometime after late July 2025, described an allegation<\/a> that Epstein \u201ctold [an accuser] to give [Harvey] Weinstein a massage, during which Weinstein tells her to take off her shirt, she refuses and then Weinstein threatens to get women to come force her too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Weinstein, who is in jail<\/a> after being convicted of sexual assault and was one of the most prominent targets of the MeToo movement, rejects misconduct claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarvey denies this. The document cited is an internal prosecution memorandum in the Maxwell case that records allegations, not findings,\u201d his rep said. \u201cMr Weinstein was never charged, investigated, or proceeded against in connection with Epstein or the conduct referenced, and no one has made findings supporting those claims.\u201d<\/p>\n

Financier Leon Black is listed on a page titled \u201cPROMINENT NAMES\u201d contained in the FBI presentation about Epstein\u2019s case; it\u2019s not known who this presentation was for, and this slideshow does not state that authorities verified any claims against these men. Black has adamantly denied wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

Under Black\u2019s name, the document states allegations that \u201cEpstein told [name redacted] to give Black a massage while Black was naked.\u201d An accuser \u201cstated<\/a> another female gave Black a massage and he made her preform oral sex\u201d.<\/p>\n

One document in this tranche said that \u201cThe Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s office began looking into allegations against Leon Black.\u201d<\/p>\n

Black has not been charged criminally in relation to Epstein. One civil case against him was dismissed and one was withdrawn. The Manhattan district attorney\u2019s office declined to comment on or confirm the existence of an investigation.<\/p>\n

Black\u2019s attorney, Susan Estrich of Estrich Goldin, said, \u201cMr Black asked for an independent investigation of his relationship with Epstein. The Dechert law firm investigated and reviewed more than 60,000 documents, interviewed more than 20 people and concluded that Mr Black paid Epstein for estate planning and tax advice and that he had no awareness of Epstein\u2019s criminal activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOf the three civil lawsuits filed against Mr Black, one has been dismissed, the other withdrawn and the other is currently facing a case terminating motion for sanctions,\u201d Estrich also said. \u201cThere is absolutely no truth to any of the allegations against Mr Black.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior document disclosures also suggested third parties might be involved.<\/p>\n

Maria Farmer, an artist who worked for Epstein around 1996 whose sister Annie was abused<\/a> by Epstein and accomplice Maxwell, reported<\/a> that the late financier \u201cstole\u201d nude images of her siblings.<\/p>\n

\u201cEpstein Stole the photos and Negatives and is believed to have sold the pictures to potential buyers,\u201d Farmer alleged in an FBI report from 1996.<\/p>\n

A document released in a prior exposure similarly indicates that Epstein and others might have shared child sexual abuse images. A lawyer representing a co-executor of Epstein\u2019s estate wrote the FBI in April 2023 for guidance. During a review of documents, they encountered<\/a> potential child sexual abuse images.<\/p>\n

\u201cApparently the relevant video was shared with Epstein by an individual who was convicted of a child pornography-type offense and it depicted one or two topless women,\u201d the lawyer\u2019s letter states.<\/p>\n

A past email that was released on 12 November by the House oversight committee shows Epstein and an associate discussing <\/a>\u201cgirls\u201d and travel. This associate appeared to refer to deceased French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel.<\/p>\n

Brunel was arrested in December 2020<\/a> at Charles de Gaulle airport on suspicion of crimes such as alleged rape and sexual assault of minors, as well as human trafficking of underage girls for sexual exploitation. Brunel, who was thought to have provided teenage girls to Epstein, died<\/a> in prison four years ago by apparent suicide.<\/p>\n

Virginia Giuffre, who was among the most prominent accusers of Epstein and his accomplice Maxwell, had alleged<\/a> in civil court papers that she had been \u201csexually exploited by Epstein\u2019s adult male peers including royalty\u201d.<\/p>\n

Giuffre, who died by suicide this spring, alleged Epstein and Maxwell introduced her to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2001, claiming Maxwell forced her to have sex with the then-prince.<\/p>\n

The fallen former royal has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

A lawyer representing two Epstein victims told investigators<\/a> in a 2021 email that she had two clients who were trafficked to other men.<\/p>\n

The document disclosures have shown that authorities had at various points downplayed participation of other men.<\/p>\n

On the FBI presentation listing prominent names, there is a page called \u201cMISCONCEPTIONS\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cEpstein did not regularly prostitute the victims in exchange for money,\u201d this page said.<\/p>\n

A case initiation summary<\/a> stated that the FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors said that one victim in a 2019 meeting claimed \u201cbeing lent out to other men\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer statements regarding being directed to have sex with other men was inconsistent with statements made by other victims\/witnesses, in particular her statements regarding being lent out to men with another victim \u2014 the other victim denied this occurring,\u201d the summary said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo other victim described being directed by either Epstein or Maxwell to engage in sexual activity with any other men.\u201d The \u201cclosest\u201d anecdote to being leant out, the memo said, involved Weinstein.<\/p>\n

Attorneys for Epstein\u2019s victims tell the Guardian they believe Epstein provided teen girls and young women to others.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is without question that a significant piece of Epstein and Maxwell\u2019s vast sex-trafficking operation was to provide young women and girls to other wealthy and powerful individuals,\u201d said Sigrid McCawley, a managing partner Boies Schiller Flexner and long time attorney representing Epstein survivors. \u201cThis practice gave Epstein and Maxwell control and power over individuals who were implicated in the sex trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer Freeman of Marsh Law, who represents Maria Farmer, said that \u201cat this point, we have more questions than answers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere is the rest of Maria Farmer\u2019s FBI file? Where are the records of complaints that so many other women made to FBI and how the FBI investigated those complaints? And why is the DoJ hiding the names of perpetrators while exposing survivors?\u201d Freeman said.<\/p>\n

And Spencer Kuvin of GOLDLAW, who has represented numerous Epstein victims, said: \u201cWe know for certain from direct testimony of victims that Epstein provided girls to other famous and notable people. Usually these were favors with the hope that he would get something in return from these people.\u201d<\/p>\n
