Israel\u2019s military and political leadership said preparations for a possible conflict are being intensified as tensions with Iran continue to rise, with officials stressing readiness for multiple scenarios.<\/p>\n

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said the military is in a period of heightened preparation for war, citing the growing tension with Iran.<\/p>\n

According to Israeli media, Zamir made the remarks during a conference with senior commanders, saying the army must remain constantly alert to achieve a decisive victory in a potential multi-front conflict.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must be continuously vigilant and ready for a decisive victory in a multi-front war,\u201d Zamir said, adding that Israel is increasing its level of preparedness.<\/p>\n

Referring to Hamas\u2019 surprise attack on Oct. 7, 2023, Zamir said lessons must be drawn and that the military must be prepared for a range of offensive actions across all fronts.<\/p>\n

Opposition leader backs government on Iran<\/p>\n

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said Israel is united against what he described as the Iranian threat.<\/p>\n

Lapid, leader of the Yesh Atid party, said there were no disagreements between him and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Iran, stressing the importance of conveying national unity.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu issues fresh warning to Tehran<\/p>\n

Netanyahu warned Iran that it would face \u201cunbearable consequences\u201d if it attacked Israel, as debates continue over a possible U.S. strike on Iran.<\/p>\n

Speaking at an event marking the 77th anniversary of the establishment of the Israeli parliament, Netanyahu said Israel remains alert and prepared for any development.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who attacks us will face unbearable consequences,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

US envoy visit expected<\/p>\n

The White House said U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to visit Israel and meet with Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

Israeli media reported that Witkoff is also expected to meet with Chief of Staff Zamir, noting that the visit comes at a time of heightened tensions with Iran.<\/p>\n

Israeli officials have said preparations are being made for all scenarios as discussions continue over a possible U.S. military action against Iran.<\/p>\n
