For those who eagerly await each year\u2019s fresh crop of goodies from Audemars Piguet<\/a>, last year\u2019s news was particularly exciting: Just in time for the brand\u2019s 150th anniversary, it released a new perpetual calendar movement<\/a> adjustable completely via the crown. (This is a big deal because\u2014as anyone who owns a perpetual calendar will surely tell you\u2014the complexity of these watches makes them difficult to set.) Powering fresh references in both the iconic Royal Oak<\/a> as well as the newer Code 11.59 collections, it set the tone for an ambitious release calendar that also saw the brand drop its high-tech RD#5<\/a>\u2014a watch whose pusher action was more akin to that of a cell phone than a traditional chronograph.<\/p>\n

Still, it would seem that the La Brassus-based maison is ever ready to push the horological envelope. This week, AP is debuting no fewer than 21 distinct references\u2014and we\u2019re only a month into 2026. Most exciting is the new Neo Frame Jumping Hour<\/a>, a modern reimagining of 1920s jump hour designs<\/a> that are in the midst of a major comeback. Powered by an automatic movement, it adds a classy new case profile and compelling complication to the brand\u2019s oeuvre, proving that AP is far from a one-trick, Royal Oak-themed pony.<\/p>\n

Fear not, however: For those for whom AP does in fact begin and end with Genta\u2019s famed luxury sports watch, there\u2019s plenty to be excited about\u2014an openworked version of last year\u2019s perpetual calendar is on offer, as are fresh versions of the openworked Double Balance Wheel<\/a> and \u201cJumbo.\u201d As for Code 11.59<\/a>? There\u2019s plenty to love, including a gorgeous new Flying Tourbillon and a couple of time-only executions in pink gold. But those who know AP understand that this is a brand that loves its complications<\/a>, and to that end, we invite you to meet the new 150E H\u00e9ritage Pocket Watch, a mind-blowingly sophisticated instrument capable of tracking all sorts of information\u2014including the occurrence of nine global cultural celebrations.<\/p>\n

Neo Frame Jumping Hour<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance is the Neo Frame Jumping Hour<\/a>, a watch that\u2019s a major departure from AP\u2019s existing collections. Much like Cartier\u2019s Tank \u00e0 Guichets<\/a>, it tells the time not via a traditional dial, but via dual apertures in its black PVD sapphire face that display instantaneously jumping hours and trailing minutes. Housed in a rectangular platinum case with horizontal gadroons, it features the brand\u2019s first automatic jump hour movement.<\/p>\n
