{"id":272982,"date":"2026-02-04T05:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T05:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/272982\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T05:03:09","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T05:03:09","slug":"2026-super-rugby-pacific-season-launched-in-auckland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/272982\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Super Rugby Pacific season launched in Auckland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The milestone 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season was officially launched in Auckland today, with players past and present gathering in Okahu Bay to help kick off the celebrations of 30 years of Super Rugby.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 clubs were represented by Patrick Tuipulotu (Blues), Patrick Pelligrini (Moana Pasifika), Tom Wright (ACT Brumbies), Manasa Mataele (Fijian Drua), Du\u2019Plessis Kirifi (Hurricanes), Nic Dolly (Western Force), Codie Taylor (Crusaders), Fraser McReight (Queensland Reds), Wallace Sititi (Chiefs), Eamon Doyle (NSW Waratahs) and Fabian Holland (Highlanders).<\/p>\n<p>Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley said: \u201cIt\u2019s an incredibly special occasion. 2026 marks 30 years since Super Rugby arrived with a bang and began revolutionising the professional game. This season we will take the opportunity to reflect with pride on our history as we step towards the next 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor three decades, Super Rugby has inspired innovation, excitement and unforgettable moments.
