Nelson Peltz, the father of Nicola Peltz, has spoken publicly for the first time about his family ending up \u201cin the press\u201d amid his son-in-law Brooklyn Beckham\u2019s<\/a> feud with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Brooklyn shared an explosive online statement aimed at <\/a>former Spice Girl Victoria and soccer icon David, where he accused them of \u201ctrying endlessly to ruin\u201d his relationship with his wife Nicola since their 2022 wedding.<\/p>\n

During a WSJ Invest Live event Tuesday, reporter Lauren Thomas asked Nelson about \u201cnegotiating high-stakes situations, particularly playing out in public view,\u201d as his daughter has recently been in the spotlight. <\/p>\n

\u201cHas my family been in the press lately?\u201d Nelson jokingly responded. \u201cI haven’t noticed that at all.\u200b\u200b\u201d<\/p>\n

He then shared the advice he\u2019s offered his family for navigating being heavily scrutinized online. <\/p>\n

\u201cMy advice is to stay the hell out of the press. How much good did that do?\u201d the billionaire investor said. \u201cMy daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story. That\u2019s not for coverage here today, but I’ll tell you my daughter’s great, my son-law Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.\u201d <\/p>\n

Brooklyn first broke his silence on the long-standing family feud January 19, saying he did not want to reconcile with his family. Instead, he was \u201cstanding up\u201d for himself \u201cfor the first time\u201d in his life. <\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also confirmed previous reports that his mother \u201chijacked\u201d the first dance at the wedding.<\/a> He claimed that during the ceremony, he was \u201chumiliated\u201d when Victoria \u201cdanced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

DJ Fat Tony, who was at the wedding, has agreed with Brooklyn\u2019s claim that Victoria\u2019s behaviour was \u201cinappropriate\u201d, solely due to \u201cthe timing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that singer Mark Anthony called Victoria to the stage in place of Peltz, and said the former Spice girl was \u201cthe most beautiful woman in the room,\u201d which \u201cdevastated\u201d Brooklyn and sent Peltz out of the room in tears<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his first public response to his son\u2019s statement<\/a>, David told CNBC\u2019s Squawk Box that \u201cyou have to let your children make mistakes\u201d while speaking about the power of social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn,\u201d he said. \u201cThat is what I try to teach my kids, you sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days after Brooklyn made the bombshell statement, David and Victoria put on a united front at a fashion event during Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris<\/a>. While Brooklyn wasn\u2019t in attendance, his three siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, appeared alongside their parents. <\/p>\n
