NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) \u2013 Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti says Tennessee will get a cut of a settlement with two companies over generic drugs they made.<\/p>\n
You can get your share if you bought generic drugs made by Lannett or Bausch between May 1, 2009 and December 31, 2019.<\/p>\n
The government says the two companies illegally worked with competitors to raise prices on the drugs, or price-fixing.<\/p>\n
Generic drugs are supposed to be cheaper than the brand names.<\/p>\n
But regulators accuse Lannett and Bausch of raising their generic prices, avoiding competing with each other and limiting your choices to keep those prices high.<\/p>\n
As part of the settlement, they have agreed to help with lawsuits against other drug makers.<\/p>\n
