While little is known about Dune 3<\/a> as of now, but a recent update by star Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet gives us an idea as to when we might see the film\u2019s first trailer. <\/p>\n

What is the latest Dune 3 trailer update? <\/p>\n

According to a recent post by X user \u201cheyzineb,\u201d Chalamet<\/a> was recently a guest on the French television show Quotidien. There, he said that the first trailer for Dune: Part Three is finished, and should be out very soon. Just when that is is unknown, but with the Super Bowl right around the corner, fans have begun speculating if Warner Bros. could be preparing a trailer release for then.<\/p>\n

Timoth\u00e9e confirmed during the Quotidien recording tonight (will air next week) that the DUNE: PART THREE trailer is finished and should be out very soon @timotheenation<\/a><\/p>\n

Dune: Part Three is once again directed by Denis Villeneuve, who was behind the camera for the first two films. The third film in the franchise is based on Frank Herbert\u2019s 1969 novel\u00a0Dune Messiah<\/a>. Alongside Chalamet, who returns as Paul Atreides, the cast of Dune: Part 3 also includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides. Robert Pattinson is also set to appear in the film in an undisclosed role. <\/p>\n

Filming for Dune: Part Three began in July 2025, and wrapped later in the year, in November. Currently, the film is set to release on December 18, 2026, the same as Marvel Studios\u2019 highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, with fans jokingly referring to the day as \u201cDunesday\u201d<\/a> a la 2023\u2019s \u201cBarbenheimer,\u201d when both Barbie and Oppenheimer released on the same day. <\/p>\n

A description of Herbier\u2019s novel reads, \u201cDune Messiah\u00a0continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known\u2014and feared\u2014as the man christened Muad\u2019Dib. As Emperor of the known universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield.
