The Chicago Bulls<\/a> have been one of the most active teams at the 2026 NBA Trade Deadline. They continued making some noise just after midnight on the final day to make deals in the 2025-26 campaign.<\/p>\n Just a short while ago, they came to an agreement with the New York Knicks<\/a>. Per Shams Charania<\/a>, they agreed to send their wing Dalen Terry<\/a> to The Big Apple, in exchange for Guerschon Yabusele.<\/a><\/p>\n Rumors were circulating just one day ago that the Frenchman may be signing in Israel<\/a>, but he has landed in a spot where playing time could be available. Nikola Vucevic<\/a> was shipped to the Celtics<\/a>, and the team has been lacking in the size department as a result.<\/p>\n Now that he\u2019s on a new squad, finally, Yabusele may be able to get his career back on the right track in the NBA<\/a>. Let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n Guerschon Yabusele, the Chicago Bull<\/p>\n Now in Chicago, there is a golden opportunity for Guerschon Yabusele<\/a> to play big minutes. With the starting center being moved , a few different guys now move up on the depth chart. He could find himself in a timeshare at the center spot with Jalen Smith<\/a>, who has shined in Chicago this year.<\/p>\n Though he struggled in limited run with the Knicks this year, Yabusele\u2019s return to the league with the 76ers<\/a> last season showed the team was wise for bringing him back<\/a> after his hiatus, a long time spent playing overseas.<\/p>\n Of course, the 30-year-old forward rose back to prominence when he dunked on LeBron James <\/a>in the 2024 Paris Olympics. That one viral jam encapsulated the energy he played with all tournament long, many speaking on what a potential return to the league could look like.<\/p>\n It helped that he played with a number of NBA players there, while incoming Cavaliers<\/a> coach Kenny Atkinson was one of the top assistants for France. Nevertheless, he showed out. And then he got to Philly and averaged in double-digits a season ago.<\/p>\n Chicago did not have a single player bigger than 6\u20199 prior to this move, so he will provide size on a team that is looking to perhaps get a top-8 spot in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s take a look at projecting what the exact type of role the big man should expect to have here, now that he\u2019s been acquired.<\/p>\n Projecting Yabusele\u2019s Role with Chicago<\/p>\n Guerschon Yabusele is unlikely to see any DNP-CD\u2019s with the Bulls. His time in New York was marked by his inability to stay on the floor. Now though, his new team has a serious need for the size he provides. The floor-spacing Frenchman is also very solid at scoring in the low-post.<\/p>\n Off the bat, as Zach Collins<\/a> continues to recover from injury, he could see anywhere from 15-25 minutes a night. If there were any teams that weren\u2019t at the bottom of the barrel that could use a big man, this Chicago squad was absolutely the one.<\/p>\n There is a good chance that this team isn\u2019t done making moves, of course. They now have Collin Sexton,<\/a> Josh Giddey,<\/a> Anfernee Simons<\/a>, Tre Jones<\/a>, Jaden Ivey,<\/a> and Ayo Dosunmu<\/a>.
