An unnamed official in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office is being investigated on suspicion of inappropriate conduct with a woman, Israel\u2019s public broadcaster KAN, reported on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

According to the KAN report, police have been in contact with the alleged victim of the conduct to file a complaint against the official.<\/p>\n

This is the latest in a series of police investigations into the PMO, including the “midnight parking-lot meeting” affair, in which police suspect Tzachi Braverman, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s chief of staff and designated ambassador, made use of sensitive information obtained through his official role in connection with the investigation into leaked classified materials published by the German newspaper Bild.

The PMO is also in hot water over allegations of Qatari infiltration, known as the “Qatargate<\/a>” scandal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister himself has been on trial since 2020. Netanyahu was indicted in 2020 on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust<\/a> in three cases: 1000, 2000, and 4000.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Case 1000<\/a> centers on whether these gifts constitute corruption or were simply personal gestures. Case 2000 concerns alleged discussions between Netanyahu and publisher Arnon \u201cNoni\u201d Mozes over favorable coverage in exchange for legislative action.<\/p>\n

Case 4000<\/a> alleges that Netanyahu, while serving concurrently as prime minister and communications minister, advanced regulatory measures that benefited telecommunications giant Bezeq, and that its controlling shareholder, Shaul Elovitch, ensured favorable, tailored coverage of Netanyahu and his family on the Walla news website.<\/p>\n
