In the three years she\u2019s been publicly partnered with Kanye West<\/a>, Bianca Censori<\/a> has appeared on red carpets and in paparazzi snaps almost exclusively in barely there outfits. Last February, she attended the Grammys<\/a> in an entirely mesh dress. While people have often assumed that\u00a0West \u2014 who has a long history of styling the women he dates<\/a> \u2014 dresses his wife based on his own desires, Censori is now taking ownership over the creative decision. In her first-ever major interview, Censori says showing skin was always her idea.<\/p>\n Speaking with Vanity Fair<\/a>, Censori says she \u201chad an obvious obsession with nudity.\u201d She explains it as part of her work as a performance artist. \u201cI was naked everywhere. I didn\u2019t detach with it at any point. I consistently showed the same imagery over and over and over again,\u201d she says of her public appearances over the past few years. Later, she emphasizes that showing up naked (or nearly so) was always her choice. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be doing something I didn\u2019t want to do,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n Following her Grammys showing, which VF described as \u201cthe climax of her nudity project,\u201d Censori says she became the most-Googled woman of 2025. (She was the eighth most-Googled person<\/a> overall, with seven men coming in before her.) \u201cI\u2019m trying not to sound like I\u2019m bragging, but it is not a position that anybody in time has ever had that much visibility without speech,\u201d Censori says, adding that it wasn\u2019t so much her exposed breasts fueling the searches, but her silent mystique. \u201cIf it was just nudity, a lot of people would have that. But it also proves in a time that was so overexposed and vulnerable, that mystery still has power.\u201d<\/p>\n Censori says she has heard the critiques of her decision to embrace nudity and is actually kind of into everyone having their own opinion. \u201cI\u2019ve never gone home and cried myself to sleep over anything anyone has said, because it interests me when the reaction is not the intention,\u201d she says. \u201cI was able to express myself. That\u2019s all that mattered.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the idea that West was behind the scenes forcing her into these scandalous looks, Censori explains that they were operating as a team. \u201cMe and my husband would work on my outfits together,\u201d Censori tells the magazine. \u201cSo it was like a collaboration, it was never \u2018I was being told to do something.\u2019 \u2026 If you were married to Gianni Versace, wouldn\u2019t he give you a dress or something?\u201d<\/p>\n For now, Censori says she is done with the nudity thing. She\u2019s since moved on to other artistic endeavors, including her performance-art project BIO POP<\/a>, which debuted in Seoul last December.
