Alperen Sengun was named as an injury replacement to the All-Star Game on Sunday.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK,\u00a0Feb. 8, 2026 \u2013 Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Team World for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game.<\/p>\n

The 75th\u00a0NBA All-Star Game<\/a> will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. ET at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., airing on NBC and Peacock.<\/p>\n

Sengun, a native of Turkey, has earned his second consecutive NBA All-Star selection after being named an All-Star for the first time last season. In his fifth NBA season, he is averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and a career-high 6.3 assists in 44 games. Sengun ranks 30th\u00a0in the NBA in points, 10th\u00a0in rebounds and 16th in assists per game, while posting career highs of 1.41 steals and 1.0 blocks. He has helped lead Houston to a 32-19 record, tied for fourth place in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-11 Sengun is one of three players averaging at least 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists this season, joining fellow 2026 NBA All-Stars Jalen Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks and Nikola Joki\u0107 of the Denver Nuggets.<\/p>\n

Gilgeous-Alexander is unable to participate in the NBA All-Star Game because of an abdominal strain<\/a>.\u00a0 The eight-year NBA veteran from Canada was voted a starter, earning his fourth straight All-Star selection.<\/p>\n

The 75th\u00a0NBA All-Star Game will feature two teams of U.S. players (USA Stars and USA Stripes) and one team of international players (Team World) competing in a round-robin mini-tournament with four 12-minute games.<\/p>\n
