Elbit Systems said it has secured contracts worth more than $100 million from the Directorate of Defense Research and Development within Israel\u2019s Ministry of Defense to develop advanced digitisation capabilities for the Israel Defense Forces. The programmes will deliver the fifth generation of the IDF\u2019s digitisation array, integrating technologies across command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, digital fire and border protection.<\/p>\n

The projects will be carried out by joint development teams from Elbit Systems, the Ministry of Defense and the IDF Ground Forces, using the company\u2019s digital warfare infrastructure. The work includes development of the next generation Digital Ground Army programme, known as Tzayad, providing advanced command and control from headquarters to manoeuvring forces with full multi-domain connectivity across air, sea and land.<\/p>\n
Elbit Systems will also develop the next generation Multi-Sensor Border Defense System, known as MARS, designed to manage sensor and effector arrays while incorporating lessons learned from recent combat. The system will feature artificial intelligence-based target detection and classification, rapid integration of sensors and effectors, broad multi-mission management and multi-service connectivity, the company said.<\/p>\n

Colonel S., head of the Aderet Department in the Ground Technological Division, said \u201cthe new systems will constitute another significant leap in the IDF\u2019s capabilities in the fields of C4I and digital and represent a direct implementation of the lessons learned from combat over the past two years.\u201d He added that deepening the partnership and expanding joint development would act as a force multiplier, enabling faster and more precise operational outputs for the IDF.<\/p>\n
