\n\tFor one achy breaky contestant, The Masked Singer<\/a> came to an abrupt end on Wednesday night, Feb. 11 when Owl was eliminated.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe latest episode of Fox\u2019s quirky singing series celebrated Twilight and Valentine\u2019s Day. Christina Perri opened with a performance of \u201cA Thousand Year,\u201d her song from the vampire romance franchise.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the competition got underway, Cat Witch sang \u201cIt Will Rain\u201d by Bruno Mars; 14 Karat Carrot performed \u201cTainted Love\u201d by Gloria Jones; Stingray hit \u201cBad Habits\u201d by Ed Sheeran; and Owl went with \u201cWhite Wedding\u201d by Billy Idol.<\/p>\n

\n\tOwl and Stingray faced the axe, and both battled with performances of Pat Benatar\u2019s \u201cLove Is a Battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the end, Owl had to fly. <\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the mask was Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a>, the country star who had a massive global hit in 1992 with \u201cAchy Breaky Heart,\u201d which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n

\n\tTo younger generations, Cyrus is probably best known as the father of Miley and Noah, and the collaborator with Lil Nas X, whose 2019 version of \u201cAchy Breaky Heart\u201d logged 19 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, a then record.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be with y\u2019all,\u201d he said after the big reveal. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s been a lot of fun. Music changes everything, music changes lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPanelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke all failed to guess who was under the helmet. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s very rare that none of us get it right,\u201d remarked Thicke, \u201cespecially for such a big name and a big star and somebody we\u2019ve guessed so many times. So to be able to fool all of us, that\u2019s quite an accomplishment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the benefit of hindsight, the veteran singer did give some handy pointers. There was a \u201c1992\u201d sign, pointing to the year of Miley\u2019s birth, and the release of his signature song. And an image of a billy goat.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd with this Saturday, Feb. 14 marking Valentine\u2019s Day, the reference to the \u201clady in red\u201d was a clue to his lady. \u201cAn angel came into my life named Elizabeth Hurley,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the departure of Cyrus, a two-time Grammy Award winner, just 10 contestants remain in this season 14 of The Masked Singer, including all three wildcards.<\/p>\n
