This issue raises the stakes by introducing Darkseid-controlled versions of Absolute Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman into the battle. Even though the DC K.O. event has technically given Superman the moral freedom to unleash his powers to their full extent, the Man of Steel has consistently held back when facing his friends and foes. Until now. DC K.O. #4 pits Superman against Superman<\/a>, giving Clark the final push he needs to truly unleash himself.<\/p>\n

Facing off against a Darkseid-imbued Superman, Clark is forced to tap the full extent of his powers as the two clash. The battle reveals some absolutely insane power metrics, including that when the two Supermen collide, they unleash 52 megatons of energy, the approximate yield of the Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated.<\/p>\n

This is a blast with world-altering destructive potential, and if Clark hadn\u2019t reabsorbed the energy, it could have obliterated his allies. It\u2019s rare for DC to give exact numbers for Superman\u2019s powers<\/a>, making this a notable moment in the Man of Steel\u2019s comic history. In a moment of desperation, he amps up his heat vision to \u201ca million bursts per second,\u201d another insane metric. Yet even this is not enough to overcome Absolute Superman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Superman then turns his attention to the Darkseid-possessed Booster Gold, targeting the source of the malevolent power. The narration reads: \u201cClark gives it everything. Every ounce of energy, physical, mental, spiritual. It\u2019s a punch that could break the world. Even a god\u2019s concentration. Even for a moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

This punch serves as the cherry on top of the incredible feats Superman achieves in DC K.O.<\/a>, offering perhaps the most definitive depiction of the Man of Steel\u2019s true limits to date.
