\n\tThanks to Finn Wolfhard<\/a>, Daniel Radcliffe<\/a> knew Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u2018s buzzy Heated Wizardry sketch<\/a> was coming before it aired.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former Harry Potter<\/a> franchise star recently spoke with Rolling Stone<\/a>, where he was asked if he\u2019d seen the spoof that debuted during the show\u2019s first episode of 2026. \u201cI did, yes,\u201d he told the outlet, to which he explained that the Stranger Things actor actually told him about the sketch a day before it aired on Jan. 17. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWeirdly, I had met Finn Wolfhard a few weeks before, randomly, and we chatted for a bit,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd then he texted me the day before it aired, being like, \u2018Hey, just so you know, we\u2019re doing a\u00a0Harry Potter\u00a0sketch.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA play on the successful<\/a> gay hockey series Heated Rivalry<\/a>, Wolfhard portrayed Radcliffe\u2019s character of Harry Potter while Ben Marshall stepped into the role of Ron Weasley in the SNL sketch \u2014 but with a twist. In the bit, Woflhard\u2019s Harry and Marshall\u2019s Ron found themselves wrapped up in a Quidditch rivalry that transforms into a behind-the-scenes romance, just like the Crave show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cComing soon to HBO, the beloved wizarding world of\u00a0Harry Potter\u00a0makes its television debut,\u201d a voiceover in the Heated Wizardry began at the top of the sketch before Wolfhard\u2019s Harry and Marshall\u2019s Ron crossed paths in a heated exchange on their first day at Hogwarts. \u201cWith an all new story hastily written after the success of a certain other HBO show\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the widespread acclaim for Heated Rivalry, Radcliffe admitted he hasn\u2019t seen the show, though he\u2019s \u201cvery aware\u201d of its buzz (\u201cMy girlfriend is a huge fan,\u201d he explained). Still, he enjoyed the sketch. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m sure there are jokes I was missing, but it was very funny and sweet,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m always happy to see other versions of that.
