The previous release, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.net\/Huawei-releases-new-major-update-for-two-smartwatches.1193184.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">version 6.0.0.173<\/a>, reached users worldwide in late 2025. Now, HarmonyOS version 6.0.0.188 has been reported by users in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithome.com\/0\/921\/483.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link-new-window\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">China<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/HuaweiWatchGT\/comments\/1r2uos7\/gt6_new_update\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link-new-window\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">other countries<\/a>. &#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The release notes for the versions of the Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro share many similarities. Both mention support for improved notification management, with users able to set up silent notifications and smart reminders. Users of Android devices can now remotely control their smartphone\u2019s camera from the watch, and there is an Alipay-related optimization. Plus, it has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ithome.com\/0\/921\/495.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"external-link-new-window\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a0in China that an upgraded version of the WeChat app, version 1.1.0, adds support for voice-to-text messaging.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">On top of this, users of the Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro are invited to join a research programme linked to coronary heart disease risk. Data collected by the watch over several days is used to determine the wearer\u2019s current risk of heart disease. This appears to be another China-exclusive feature for the time being.
