\n\tAfter 25 years, Daniel Radcliffe<\/a> is still in touch with his Hogwarts pals as a new class of young actors takes over the Harry Potter<\/a> franchise.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2x Emmy nominee recently revealed he\u2019s spoken to his Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson<\/a> and Rupert Grint<\/a> about \u201chow surreal [it is] to watch people starting off on that journey, all those years later\u201d on the HBO<\/a> series adaptation of J.K. Rowling\u2019s books.<\/p>\n

\n\tRadcliffe said that although the trio hasn\u2019t had \u201ca ton of communication about the show specifically,\u201d they\u2019re all going through the same experience while seeing Dominic McLaughlin step into the role of Harry, with Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s one of those where I think we all just know how the others feel, because we\u2019re also feeling it,\u201d he told People<\/a>. \u201cWe have all said, you just see the pictures of these kids, and you just want to grab them and hug them<\/a>. That\u2019s the impulse that I think that we, mainly, all have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRadcliffe and Grint previously revealed that they wrote letters<\/a> to their onscreen successors. With Watson, they starred in all eight original Harry Potter movies, which were released from 2001 to 2011.<\/p>\n

\n\tScheduled to premiere in early 2027<\/a>, Harry Potter has been filming in the UK since the summer. Its adult leads include John Lithgow, Paapa Essiedu and Janet McTeer.<\/p>\n

Mark Mylod is executive producing and directing multiple episodes of the series, produced by HBO in association with Bront\u00eb Film and TV and Warner Bros Television.
