\n\tPaul McCartney<\/a> was able to count on a little help from his friends, as Paul Mescal<\/a> was among the attendees at a special screening for the legendary Beatles<\/a> musician\u2019s new documentary<\/a> project.<\/p>\n

\n\tOscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville<\/a>\u2018s movie Man on the Run screened Wednesday at a London event ahead of its global streaming launch via Prime Video<\/a> on Feb. 27. The Amazon MGM Studios documentary centers on McCartney\u2019s life in the 1970s following the contentious breakup of the Beatles<\/a> and includes his music<\/a> success throughout the decade with the group Wings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want to say thank you to Morgan for keeping all the embarrassing moments in that I asked him to take out,\u201d McCartney joked from the stage as he and Neville introduced the movie. \u201cNo, he\u2019s made a good film, so thank you, Morgan.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAmong the notable guests was Mescal, who posed on the red carpet with girlfriend Gracie Abrams. The Hamnet actor is set to portray McCartney in director Sam Mendes\u2019 forthcoming The Beatles \u2014 A Four-Film Cinematic Event<\/a>, which is currently in production in the U.K.<\/a> Sony Pictures will release the four-movie biopic project theatrically in April 2028, with each film focusing on a member of the Fab Four. Rounding out the cast are Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso attending the Man on the Run celebration were Noel Gallagher, Sharon Osbourne, Twiggy, Marcus Mumford and Paul\u2019s children Stella McCartney and James McCartney.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI loved all the guys in the Beatles,\u201d Paul McCartney told the crowd during an onstage conversation that followed the screening. \u201cWe had so much in common, and we were like a little magical foursome.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Beatles\u2019 songwriter, bassist and vocalist spurred laughter from the audience when he added about the band, which happens to be the biggest-selling music act<\/a> of all time: \u201cIt was just a magic grouping, and we did OK.\u201d<\/p>\n
