In the film, a journalist\u2019s young daughter disappears into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.<\/p>\n

Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Laia Costa (\u201cThe Wheel of Time\u201d), May Calamawy (\u201cMoon Knight\u201d), Natalie Grace (\u201c1923\u201d), and Veronica Falc\u00f3n (\u201cOzark\u201d) star.<\/p>\n

The production reunites Cronin with Evil Dead Rise cinematographer Dave Garbett, production designer Nick Bassett, editor Bryan Shaw, and composer Stephen McKeon.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very different kind of Mummy movie,\u201d Cronin previously said<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s an insane mashup to suggest, but [the film is] almost one part Poltergeist and one part Seven, but put through my lens and the way that I like to entertain people.\u201d<\/p>\n

From Blumhouse-Atomic Monster and New Line Cinema, the film is produced by James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville. Cronin executive produces with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Macdara Kelleher.<\/p>\n
