Look, we\u2019re on the 10th season of Netflix<\/a>\u2019s wildly popular reality series \u201cLove Is Blind<\/a>,\u201d and quite frankly, I\u2019m tired of how this show has played out in the last few seasons.<\/p>\n

No longer are we watching people fall head-over-heels in love like couples of yesteryear, Cameron and Lauren, and Tiffany and Brett, and Chelsea and Kwame. We are being subjected to single people who aren\u2019t nearly ready to be married, let alone be happily coupled up with someone that they \u201cfell in love with\u201d in a pod, sight unseen.<\/p>\n

Season 10 has reached peak hot mess, with the show\u2019s premise clearly being proven untrue: Love is not blind. People are beholden to their preferences on how someone looks. It\u2019s actually a hot mess. It\u2019s not even that messy drama that people like me live for on reality TV. This is the mess that no one should have to witness.<\/p>\n

Episodes 7 through 9 gave audiences a lot to talk about, especially with how a few of the men are expressing their feelings to their fianc\u00e9es. Let\u2019s run through it quickly.<\/p>\n

Alex and Ashley end up having a very awkward-to-watch, drawn-out conversation about their sex life. He hopes she can initiate more, and she says she has hesitations because he told her in Cabo that the physical connection wasn\u2019t there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think what I was saying is you\u2019re not the type of girl that I normally go after,\u201d Alex says. If you recall, Alex approached Brittany and was basically dirty-macking and revealed in a confessional interview that she was more his type.<\/p>\n

Then, Alex brings up Ashley\u2019s period. I don\u2019t have much to say about that part of the conversation, but it was wild to watch on national television.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not all. Apparently, Alex lives a nomadic life and is planning to leave Cleveland for another job (he\u2019s hopped all over the world as a day trader, he says). He\u2019s been trying to get Ashley to ensure that she can transfer her job to a new location; she\u2019s promised that she\u2019s going to talk to her boss about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019ve been very upfront about me being more of a nomad,\u201d Alex says before revealing he\u2019s getting a contract for a job in Florida but that he\u2019s open to moving to Arizona, too. \u201cI\u2019m having concerns that you\u2019re not able to be as fluid.\u201d <\/p>\n

There\u2019s something about Alex that seems really shifty, and even in his conversations, it sounds like he\u2019s a used car salesman ready for his next big pitch. Thankfully, Ashley\u2019s dad calls out Alex in a confessional interview when they meet. \u201cI\u2019m not saying he is a bad person, but I don\u2019t think honesty is his strength,\u201d Paul said. Chef\u2019s kiss! <\/p>\n

Brittany and Devonta, at least temporarily, resolved their issue from Episode 6 when Brittany said the chemistry between them seemed off. But there\u2019s still something so unsettling about him ever since he said he\u2019d never dated a woman of color before \u2014 especially considering he is a person of color.<\/p>\n

But perhaps worst of all, Chris decides to tell Jessica that she is not his type because she doesn\u2019t go to Pilates or CrossFit every day. Jessica, who is a doctor, told Chris that she\u2019s not a workout-every-day kinda girl in the pods. So it really was unclear until now that apparently that\u2019s a dealbreaker for him. Mind you, earlier in the episode he was telling her that he loved her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI date people who fucking do like fucking CrossFit and shit,\u201d Chris tells Jessica, before revealing that he\u2019s not physically attracted to her. \u201cI don\u2019t like know if it\u2019s there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Jessica took that as her cue that their relationship wasn\u2019t going to work. At the meetup of the pod squad in Episode 9, Chris was mostly looked at as persona non grata \u2014 except Bri, his other connection in the pod, really wanted to hear his side of the story. Yuck.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, all the women on this season are beautiful and intelligent and deserve far better than whatever is going on with their potential husbands.<\/p>\n

Fans of \u201cLove Is Blind\u201d have been pretty vocal online about the audacity of some of the male contestants this season. See some tweets below. <\/p>\n
