Adam Sandler discussed his daughters becoming musicians during the 2026 ASCAP Experience on Feb. 12<\/p>\n

\u201cThey both jam in the house all day long like I used to,\u201d Adam said while accepting the Founders Award at the event<\/p>\n

Jamming out in the house runs in Adam Sandler<\/a>\u2019s family.<\/p>\n

While accepting the Founders Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for his contributions to music and songwriting at the 2026 ASCAP Experience in Los Angeles on Feb. 12, the 59-year-old actor and musician discussed how his daughters<\/a> have become musicians just like their famous father.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey both jam in the house all day long like I used to,\u201d he said of Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 17, whom he shares with his wife, Jackie Sandler<\/a>, 51.<\/p>\n

\u201cI walked by last night, my one kid\u2019s playing the piano, writing a song,\u201d Adam continued in his speech. \u201cMy other kid\u2019s in New York now. Every time I visit her, all her friends are like, \u2018All she does is play guitar all day long.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Sadie attends New York University\u2019s Tisch School of the Arts.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s really cool. Music\u2019s the best. It\u2019s always been there for me,\u201d added the comedian, who released five studio albums from 1993 to 2004.<\/p>\n

Adam has also released four soundtrack albums from 2002 to 2024, with the latest being for his Netflix comedy special, Adam Sandler: Love You<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paul Williams, ASCAP\u2019s president, highlighted Adam\u2019s contributions to \u201cthe comedy music canon\u201d in a news release<\/a> about the Founders Award.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdam is a giant of comedy, and so many of his most hilarious on-screen moments are based in music and song,\u201d Williams said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Opera Man [on SNL]<\/a> to \u2018The Chanukah Song\u2019<\/a> to \u2018Grow Old with You,\u2019 Adam\u2019s genius ability to seamlessly blend comedy and music helps us all appreciate the wonders and absurdities of life and love,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
