Maccabi Tel Aviv<\/a> cruised past Ironi Ness Ziona 111-80 late Sunday as Gur Lavy starred and Lonnie Walker put on a show as he made his return from being out injured for the past couple of months.<\/p>\n

Walker began the game on fire<\/a>, nailing four three-pointers to set the tone, while Lavy was unstoppable in scoring a career high as Oded Katash\u2019s team took the 31-point victory.<\/p>\n

Next up for the yellow-and-blue is a EuroLeague date<\/a> at Monaco on Thursday night, as it looks to continue its bid for a Play-In postseason place in continental play.<\/p>\n

Lavy scored 31 points, Walker added 18 points, and John DiBartolomeo scored 14 points in the win, while Desi Rodriguez scored 27 points for Ness Ziona as Yuri Collins and Bryce Brown both scored 14 points in the loss.<\/p>\n

Katash spoke about the win afterward.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe reached a peak after the State Cup win, and I was worried about how we would begin the game, but Lonnie controlled the pace right off the bat. We played very well defensively and we then started to fall off a bit, but we got back to ourselves and finished with a win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ness Ziona bench boss Meir Tapiro commented on the defeat.<\/p>\n

\u201cLonnie Walker came back and hit his threes, including some very tough ones. It\u2019s a good question where my players were; we had a game plan which didn\u2019t work out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lavy, the game\u2019s MVP, also spoke about the win and Walker\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were excited to come in here after having won the cup, and we played well, and now we have to get ready for Thursday. I\u2019m still new here, and we had a bunch of people with the team who made sure we were ready for this game. We all missed Lonnie, and he showed us what he can do, which we all knew.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hapoel Tel Aviv beats Hapoel Holon<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv<\/a> got by Hapoel Holon 89-83 as the Reds were able to withstand a late run by the Purples to win their third Israeli league game in a week.<\/p>\n

Elijah Bryant and Johnathan Motley scored early on for Dimitrios Itoudis\u2019s team to build up a 20-point lead midway through the third quarter, but Adama Sanogo, along with Xavier Munford and Netanel Artzi, cut the gap to just a pair of points late in the game.<\/p>\n

However, Motley and Bryant, as well as Bar Timor, scored late to close out the victory. Hapoel will host Milano on Thursday as \u00a0it looks to get back on track in Euroleague play with a pair of new signings in Kessler Edwards and Levi Randolph.<\/p>\n

Bryant scored 25 points, Motley added 18 points, and Yam Madar put in 14 points in the win, while Munford and Sanogo each scored 19 points, and Artzi chipped in with 13 points for Holon in the loss.<\/p>\n

Game MVP Bryant reflected on the victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe played a good game, but we have to do a better job taking care of the ball and finishing off the game. Any time we get wins, it\u2019s good, and no matter what league that\u2019s in, we\u2019re grateful for the win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hapoel Jerusalem beats Maccabi Ramat Gan, Hapoel HaEmek defeats Elitzur Netanya<\/p>\n

Also, Hapoel Jerusalem downed Maccabi Ramat Gan 97-87 as a strong third quarter put the game away for the capital city Reds.<\/p>\n

Austin Wiley scored 20 points, and Jared Harper put in 19 points in the win, while Adam Ariel scored 22 points and Ronaldo Segu added 17 points in the loss.<\/p>\n

Hapoel Beersheba crushed Maccabi Ra\u2019anana 102-80 as the Southern Reds came out playing from the get-go and went into halftime with a 52-34 lead to cruise to the victory.<\/p>\n

CJ Elleby scored 23 points while Brandon Angel and Damian Dunn each scored 20 points in the win, as Tyrece Radford scored 19 points, Daylen Kountz put in 18 points, and Joe Ragland scored 15 points in the loss.<\/p>\n

Hapoel HaEmek defeated Elitzur Netanya 78-64 as a strong third quarter by Sharon Avrahami\u2019s team broke the game wide open and helped spur the visitors to the win.<\/p>\n

Kyler Edwards and Rafi Menco each scored 16 points in the victory, while Shaq Buchanan and Amit Gershon scored 12 points apiece in the loss.<\/p>\n

Bnei Herzliya topped Hapoel Galil Elyon 105-89 as Daeshon Francis, who didn\u2019t play in the State Cup final, starred for Yehu Orland\u2019s team to help lead a half-dozen players in double digits to the victory.<\/p>\n
