\n\tLAST DANCE: Before Pieter Mulier<\/a>\u2018s swan song as creative director of Ala\u00efa comes his final campaign<\/a> for the Paris-based house.<\/p>\n

\n\tReleased Tuesday, it features five up-and-coming models lensed by Steven Meisel and continues \u201ca tradition of collaboration with photography\u2019s most pre-eminent talents, initiated by Azzedine Ala\u00efa<\/a> and carried forward today by Pieter Mulier<\/a>,\u201d the house said in a statement shared first with WWD.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late Tunisian couturier <\/a>famously worked with the likes of Peter Lindbergh and Arthur Elgort.<\/p>\n

\n\tDescribing Meisel as \u201camong the most influential image-makers <\/a>in the history of fashion,\u201d Ala\u00efa said the American photographer echoes the reduced, sculptural quality of Mulier\u2019s winter-spring collection.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIts simplicity and frontal quality introduce an intentional radicality. No noise, just beauty,\u201d according to the house. \u201cThe purity of the setting, the absence of ornament, and the deliberate repetition of a single composition place the body and the garments at the centre of the image.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe campaign<\/a> will be visible from Tuesday at Milan newsstands, and will also appear on billboards and kiosks throughout Paris Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere is also a campaign film with the same soundtrack as the show, by Gustave Rudman.<\/p>\n

\n\tMulier is to wrap an eventful and acclaimed five-year tenure at the Ala\u00efa after his summer-fall show and join Versace in Milan <\/a>on July 1, as reported.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe affable Belgian designer started his fashion career working at the Raf Simons men\u2019s label in Antwerp, later working under Simons at Jil Sander, Calvin Klein and Dior.<\/p>\n
