\n\tThe summer window for the long-awaited return of Ted Lasso<\/a> has been narrowed down. The fourth season of the hit soccer comedy, starring and executive produced by Jason Sudeikis<\/a>, is expected to premiere in August. <\/p>\n

\n\tTed Lasso star Hannah Waddingham<\/a> let slip the update while speaking with Deadline\u2019s Baz Bamigboye on the red carpet at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a whole different deal,\u201d she said about the upcoming fourth season \u201cwith our Lady Greyhounds.\u201d \u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone to see what they\u2019ve come up with.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs to when that may be, \u201cAugust, I think\u201d she said, before turning to the side to ask, \u201cAm I allowed to say August?\u201d and couching it, \u201cWhat if I\u2019m wrong?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tUltimately, with the cat out of the bag, she reiterated, \u201cI think it\u2019s August.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tApple TV<\/a> declined comment. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn Season 4, which has previously been announced to premiere<\/a> in the summer, Ted Lasso (Sudeikis) returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women\u2019s football team.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs Deadline has reported<\/a>, Sudeikis has another three-season arc planned for the new story, just like he did for Ted\u2019s coaching stint with Richmond\u2019s men\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

\n\tSo far, the series has been greenlighted through Season 4, but Waddingham would love to stay on for additional seasons. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019d do it until I\u2019m walking on a Zimmer frame when I\u2019m 80,\u201d she said. \u201cI love it. I love Rebecca Welton, my character, and the writing is so magnificent. Jason Sudeikis and the writers room, it\u2019s like a finely tuned machine. And the life lessons that you realize that they\u2019re just tipping in here and there, it\u2019s brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also spoke of Rebecca being a boss lady who also is vulnerable. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s what it\u2019s given me that I had never had in anything else, the chance, even if you\u2019re a six foot two woman in heels, of course there is the soft side, there\u2019s a vulnerability, they are as easily shatterable. They gave me that, and I\u2019ll be forever grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n
