Married At First Sight<\/a> groom Tyson Gordon has hit back against one of his fellow cast mates for claiming he had “small d**k energy”. The 30-year-old Gold Coast property investor is arguably one of the most controversial contestants<\/a> on the 2026 season due to his views on women and relationships<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He’s hit out at “woke culture”, and wants a “submissive” wife who looks after their five children<\/a> instead of chasing her career. A poll of nearly 10,000 Yahoo Lifestyle readers found 87 per cent felt Tyson’s views were “concerning”, while 7 per cent thought they were “fine”.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, his views haven’t gone down well with the other MAFS couples and unaired footage from Wednesday’s dinner party has revealed what they truly think.<\/p>\n

Bec Zacharia: “Tyson and the teenie peenie, that’s what he’s gonna be called from now on.”<\/p>\n

Grayson McIvor: “[Tyson’s] whole demeanour pissed me off. That’s not how a man should act or treat a woman.”<\/p>\n

Joel Moses: “Burning bridges already, bro, like maybe you want to keep that s**t inside.”<\/p>\n

Gia Fleur: “If Tyson backs his comments about being a right-wing, homophobic, anti-woke male, he’s got a lot f**king coming for him.”<\/p>\n

Rachel Gilmore: “Tyson in the bin. I’m done.”<\/p>\n

Funnily enough, Bec was actually sitting next to Tyson for After The Dinner Party and asked what she meant by her comment.<\/p>\n

“You got small d**k energy, brother,” she replied.<\/p>\n

When he questioned what he did or said that gave off that energy, she said it was because he was “walking around saying I want a servant”, referring to his wish to have a submissive partner.<\/p>\n

“Well, that’s a bizarre thing to say…I don’t know where you get this small d**k energy thing from but it’s completely inappropriate,” he said back.<\/p>\n

Tyson admitted it was tough to see the 2026 cast talk about him that way, and he revealed regrets about how he explained his desires.<\/p>\n

“It’s uncomfortable to watch. I clearly have offended quite a few people by the looks of it,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I should have really just said ‘traditional’. The whole ‘submissive’ thing, yeah, was probably, a little bit, just [the] wrong word.”<\/p>\n

Tyson kicked off his season on MAFS by Channel 9 sharing what his must-haves are in a relationship.<\/p>\n

He said he’s been looking for someone feminine and submissive, as well as someone who:<\/p>\n

Doesn’t have a high “body count”, which means hasn’t had sex with many people<\/p>\n

Isn’t a “complete feminist”<\/p>\n

Doesn’t hate Donald Trump<\/p>\n

Doesn’t like to party with her girlfriends every weekend<\/p>\n

Isn’t a “full-blown” atheist<\/p>\n

He was paired with Stephanie Marshall, a 32-year-old Brisbane real estate agent who is very career driven and hasn’t had an adult relationship.<\/p>\n

They’ve clashed since they first laid eyes on each other over Tyson’s strong approach to how he wants his wife to be and act.<\/p>\n

He’s complained multiple times that she’s bringing “masculine” energy because she keeps calling him out on his views.<\/p>\n

The soldier-turned-property investor was given a chance to explain his view of submissiveness on After The Dinner Party while chatting with hosts Laura Byrne, Jules Lund, Brittany Hockley.<\/p>\n

Laura told him that what he’s been saying about gender roles in a relationship have been “frustrating” and “offensive”.<\/p>\n

She added that, by definition, submissive means someone who is “compliant and obedient”.<\/p>\n

Tyson said that wasn’t his definition of the word, but added how he saw it.<\/p>\n

“I would like to be the leader of the house…would you say that’s controlling? Being the leader of the house?” he asked.<\/p>\n

Laura said that if he wanted someone obedient he should just get a dog instead of a partner.<\/p>\n

“I want to be the man of the house. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Every female wants that,” Tyson replied, which caused the hosts to burst out laughing at him.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want my wife to be subservient, like, I don’t want my wife to feel like a dog or a slave, but I do, once again, like those traditional values.”<\/p>\n
