HMD launched a new model called Luma \u2013 no, not \u201cLumia\u201d, though that might have been cool. This appears to be similar to the HMD Vibe<\/a>, though with a lower-end chipset.<\/p>\n

The HMD Luma<\/a> is powered by the Unisoc T615, a 12nm chip with Cortex-A75 and A55 cores, which are pretty old at this point. The phone is configured with 4GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage \u2013 there is a microSD slot available. Disappointingly, the phone comes with Android 15 out of the box.<\/p>\n

Besides the memory card slot, the phone has other \u201cold-school\u201d features like a 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio receiver. If you want to use wireless headphones, the phone supports Bluetooth 5.0. Stereo speakers are also on board for music and videos.<\/p>\n

The Luma has a USB-C 2.0 port capable of delivering 18W to the 5,000mAh battery. Note that unlike the Vibe, this is a 4G phone (dual-SIM).<\/p>\n

It has a better camera than the Vibe 4G<\/a>, though, with a 50MP sensor like the 5G version of the Vibe. It also features a better 8MP selfie camera (hey, we said \u201cbetter\u201d, not \u201cgood\u201d).<\/p>\n

The display is a 6.67\u201d LCD with 720 x 1,604px resolution. It\u2019s a 120Hz panel, which is a bit better than the Vibe (which has a 90Hz display).<\/p>\n

HMD Luma in Titanium and Blue<\/p>\n

The HMD Luma is available in Titanium and Blue. We found it on HMD\u2019s sites in Nigeria and Ghana, but neither site mentioned the price. A teaser clip on Instagram<\/a> says that the phone is \u201ccoming soon\u201d, which explains that.<\/p>\n
