The week before the 2026 Brit Awards, we began to hear murmurs about Harry Styles\u2019s red carpet look. It would be fabulous and it would be womenswear-focused and there would be a very specific shoe moment. Reader, we spent a large portion of the next few days dreaming up what the next step on from that ballet shoe at the Grammys<\/a> could be. We\u2019d show you the mood board, but it\u2019s filed somewhere in our minds between this week\u2019s dispatches from Milan Fashion Week, featuring the Bella Hadid-ification of the Prada runway<\/a> and Maria Grazia Chiuri bringing back Karl Lagerfeld collars<\/a> at Fendi. We never miss a beat!<\/p>\n

So, with the fall 2026 shows rumbling on in the background, it\u2019s fair to say we lost grip of reality in terms of what Styles and his stylist, Harry Lambert, could summon up for Brits. Perhaps unseen Jonathan Anderson-for-Dior ready-to-wear (his sophomore women\u2019s show is in Paris on March 3)? Maybe the rarest archival Prada flex, in line with Lambert\u2019s eBay ambassadorship? In the end, it was Chanel that clinched the deal.<\/p>\n

The look\u2014a black-and-white boucl\u00e9 pinstripe jacket with matching trousers, and a pale mint pinstripe cotton shirt (a.k.a. look 39 from Chanel\u2019s M\u00e9tiers d\u2019art 2026 collection, originally worn by Alex Consani)\u2014is in line with the style direction for Harry\u2019s latest album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
