{"id":31540,"date":"2025-09-22T19:42:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T19:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/31540\/"},"modified":"2025-09-22T19:42:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T19:42:10","slug":"tourist-arrivals-in-turkiye-rebound-in-august-to-hit-almost-7m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/31540\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourist arrivals in T\u00fcrkiye rebound in August to hit almost 7M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The number of foreign visitors in T\u00fcrkiye rose more than 2% in August, official data showed on Monday, bouncing back after three consecutive months of decline.<\/p>\n<p>About 6.97 million foreigners arrived last month, a 2.05% increase compared to last year, the Culture and Tourism Ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>Arrivals had fallen 5% in July, 1.8% in May and 1.5% in June.<\/p>\n<p>Tourism sector representatives earlier said higher prices in T\u00fcrkiye have hit demand.<\/p>\n<p>From January through August, the count still marked a 0.9% decline from a year ago and stood at 35.48 million, the ministry data showed.<\/p>\n<p>That figure reached 40.47 million when visits by Turks living abroad are included.<\/p>\n<p>Russia outseated Germany in August as T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;s largest source market with 990,709 visitors. Nearly 4.6 million Russians arrived in the first eight months, followed by 4.4 million visitors from Germany and just over 3 million from the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>For the whole of 2025, the country aims to attract 65 million visitors and generate $64 billion in tourism revenue.
