\n\tIt\u2019s no secret Kristen Bell<\/a> loves a musical number and jumped at the opportunity to break out in song during her monologue at the 2026 Actor Awards<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Nobody Wants This\u00a0star kicked off the show with some, let\u2019s say, creative stage name suggestions for some of the night\u2019s nominees.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs you know, this year, the show got a little bit of a facelift. Like many people in this room can understand, we nipped the \u2018sag,\u2019 and now it\u2019s just the Actor Awards<\/a>. But thinking about it got me thinking about rebranding, because at one time or another, everyone has thought about\u2026\u201d Bell began before singing, \u201cA stage name up on the marquees that rolls off the tongue with melodious ease.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued singing, \u201cA stage name to bring you acclaim, to double your luck and to triple your fame \/ A stage name that says who you are, that tells the whole world, baby, I\u2019m a star.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBell went on to suggest some interesting stage names for some of the actors in the room. \u201cBut here\u2019s the thing, I feel like the people in this room could be doing so much more with their stage names,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tSome of her suggestions included Jacordy O\u2019Lordy for Jacob Elordi, Teddy Dandaughter rather than Ted Danson, TeyTay in place of Teyana Taylor, Indoctrinate Me instead of Noah Wyle and Jessie Plimes rather than Jesse Plemons. However for Chase Infiniti, Bell said, \u201cNo notes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cChoose carefully what name goes on your SAG-AFTRA card,\u201d Bell sang as more suggestions for other actors scrolled on the screen behind her. \u201cIt\u2019s the name that millions of people might step on on Hollywood Boulevard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAhead of the 2026 awards<\/a> ceremony, the returning host\u00a0told\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0<\/a>that she\u2019s rehearsed \u201ca lot a lot.\u201d Bell added, \u201cWe rehearse the scripts, the beats, the walk-ups, the walk-aways, the camera marks. I practice reading a teleprompter, I practice pretending to not read a teleprompter even though I absolutely am. By show day, it\u2019s basically muscle memory.\u201d<\/p>\n
