\n\tTumblr<\/a> celebrated its 19th anniversary on Friday (Feb. 27) and served up a heavy dose of nostalgia with a highlight reel featuring cameos from 2010s favorites like The Weeknd,<\/a> A$AP Rocky,<\/a> Lana Del Rey<\/a> and One Direction<\/a>, to name a few. <\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, there was one notable omission, as Halsey was absent from the clip. \u201cI keep your lights on for years and this is the thanks I get,\u201d she quipped in response.<\/p>\n

\n\tHalsey\u2019s reply on Sunday swept social media and went viral to the tune of more than 300,000 likes on X. \u201cThey\u2019re trying to erase you queen,\u201d one person wrote<\/a> in Halsey\u2019s defense.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd during the 10 year anniversary of badlands too, the disrespect is INSANE,\u201d another fan added<\/a>, while pointing to the 10th-anniversary tour Halsey wrapped up in February in support of their 2015 debut, Badlands.<\/p>\n

\n\tFeeling the heat from the playful backlash, Tumblr released a statement apologizing for its mistake on Monday (March 2). \u201cHalsey, we are deeply sorry you were not included in our 19th birthday edit. you are and have forever been a pillar of our platform and yes for lack of better words \u2018keeping our lights on for years.\u2019 we would never, as you once put it, intentionally swerve you,\u201d Tumblr wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe blogging network continued: \u201cAt just 19, we\u2019re still learning and growing. we promise this will never happen again. we hope you can find it in your heart to forgive us. with love, tumblr.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFans are patiently awaiting Halsey to kick off their next era, with the singer\u2019s last album, The Great Impersonator, arriving in October 2024. Halsey claimed their label was keeping them from releasing a new project during an interview with Apple Music\u2019s Zane Lowe.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI can\u2019t make an album right now \u2014 I\u2019m not allowed to,\u201d she said in September. \u201cThat\u2019s the reality, because\u00a0The Great Impersonator\u00a0didn\u2019t perform the way they thought it was going to.\u201d<\/p>\n
