Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly made contact with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie in recent days, reaching out privately as the royal sisters navigate renewed scrutiny surrounding their father, Prince Andrew. According to sources familiar with the situation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex offered encouragement and reassurance during what one insider described as a particularly difficult moment for the York family.

Sources say the Sussexes recently reached out and offered their “support and understanding during a difficult moment.” The outreach comes at a time when tensions and changing relationships within the British monarchy are becoming more visible to the public. The reported contact followed a notable moment at Royal Ascot, the high-profile racing event long associated with the royal family’s ceremonial traditions.

This year, Prince William chose not to include Beatrice and Eugenie in the event’s highly visible carriage procession. “This was William asserting control,” the insider said, adding, “You’re either in the inner circle — or you’re not.”

The outreach from Sussexes carries added context, given their past ties to the York family. Eugenie, in particular, has maintained a close relationship with Harry over the years. Before Harry and Markle stepped away from official royal duties, Eugenie lived at Frogmore Cottage, the Windsor residence previously occupied by the Sussexes. She has also been seen visiting the couple in California, where they now live in Montecito. The Sussexes’ decision to check in with Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly came as little surprise.

Another insider says, “Exclusion has a way of reshuffling alliances. Harry and Markle know exactly how that feels.” For them, the dynamic may feel particularly familiar. The couple stepped away from their royal roles in 2020 and have since built a new life in California.
