Prince William apparently doesn\u2019t want his uncle Andrew Mountbatten Windsor\u2018s\u00a0ongoing scandal to linger while he is in power.<\/p>\n

In an article published Thursday, March 5, royal biographer Andrew Lownie told People<\/a> as part of the outlet\u2019s cover story that following Andrew\u2019s arrest on February 19, the Prince of Wales, 43,<\/a> \u201cwants it all cleaned out before he gets [on the throne].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants it dealt with now,\u201d Lownie further claimed.<\/p>\n

As Star previously reported<\/a>, Andrew \u2014 who was stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles III in 2025 \u2014 was taken into police custody on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office due to communication he had with Jeffrey Epstein when he worked as a trade envoy.<\/p>\n

The arrest went down at Andrew\u2019s temporary home, Wood Farm, on the 77-year-old sovereign\u2019s private Sandringham property in Norfolk, and he was able to return to his residence that night.<\/p>\n

Andrew has not yet been formally charged and has consistently denied any wrongdoing in his relationship with the late convicted sex offender.<\/p>\n

Following the United States Department of Justice\u2019s January 30 release of Epstein files, William and his wife, Princess Kate,<\/a> released a statement about the situ<\/p>\n

\u201cI can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations,\u201d the spokesperson stated per People<\/a>. \u201cTheir thoughts remain focused on the victims.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Star reported earlier this week<\/a>, Rob Shuter revealed on his Naughty But Nice Substack<\/a> that Charles will allegedly make William king within the next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe institution is preparing emotionally, even if the paperwork hasn\u2019t caught up,\u201d an insider told Shuter, claiming, \u201cIn many ways, he\u2019s already king unofficially.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, another source explained that \u201cCharles will not be seen as pushed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has waited a lifetime for this role,\u201d the source added. \u201cWhen he steps back, it will be entirely on his terms.\u201d<\/p>\n
