An officer and soldier from the IDF’s Givati Brigade were wounded by Hezbollah<\/a> anti-tank fire in southern Lebanon on Thursday, the military said in an evening statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The officer was severely wounded, and the soldier was moderately injured, the IDF said.<\/p>\n

Both individuals were evacuated to Rambam Health Care Campus\u00a0in\u00a0Haifa<\/a>\u00a0to receive medical treatment, the IDF added, noting that their families had been notified.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The incident is the second of its kind in as many days, raising the total of IDF soldiers wounded in southern Lebanon to four.<\/p>\n

The IDF conducted strikes on Hezbollah targets in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The military announced this minutes after sirens were triggered throughout Israel by Iranian missile<\/a> launches.<\/p>\n

Two IDF tank soldiers<\/a> were moderately wounded during operations in southern Lebanon, the military announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The soldiers were wounded as a result of an anti-tank missile fired against them, the military said.<\/p>\n

Notably, the two soldiers are the IDF\u2019s first wounded soldiers from ground operations in southern Lebanon, which began earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The pair were evacuated to a nearby hospital, and their families were notified.<\/p>\n
