\n\tWhile he decided not to direct \u201cThe Adventures of Cliff Booth\u201d and scrapped \u201cThe Movie Critic,\u201d Quentin Tarantino<\/a> will make a directorial comeback with an original play he\u2019s written,\u00a0Variety\u00a0has confirmed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the Daily Mail<\/a>, which first reported the news, Tarantino has written an \u201cold-fashioned British farce\u201d which is aiming to open in the West End and bring together a troupe of actors in the physical comedy vein of \u201cNoises Off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe play could open next fall, per an industry source. He previously teased in a podcast back in August that he had written the play and was planning on dedicating a \u201cyear and a half to two years\u201d to make it happen. The Daily Mail reports Tarantino might be able to recruit some Hollywood stars, but\u00a0Variety\u00a0hears it could be an ensemble comprised of rising and well-known actors.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe director, who lives in Israel with his wife Daniella Pick,\u00a0recently stepped in front of prolific Welsh indie\u00a0director\u00a0Jamie Adams\u2019s camera<\/a>\u00a0and starred opposite Charlotte Gainsbourg, Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella, Liam Hellmann and Lizzy McAlpine in the film \u201cOnly What We Carry,\u201d which shot in Deauville. Adams said Tarantino was a \u201cnaturally gifted\u201d actor. \u201cHe loves actors. He loves cinema history. Being in France making something that felt inspired by Rohmer excited him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this week, Tarantino was the subject of false reports indicating that had been killed in a missile attack in Israel, but a source close to him dispelled the rumor and said he and his family were safe and sound.<\/p>\n
