The IDF<\/a> announced on Sunday that it has killed 200 Hezbollah fighters since the Lebanese terror group<\/a> attacked Israel on March 2.<\/p>\n

This latest update came after an increased series of incidents in which IDF soldiers have been wounded, with the number up to 14 as of Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Seven IDF soldiers were wounded over the weekend in two incidents where they were ambushed by Hezbollah, as the Lebanese terror group maintained heavy fire on the North, including striking Safed and Nahariya.<\/p>\n

The soldiers were performing forward defensive operations against the terror group when several anti-tank missiles were fired towards them.<\/p>\n

As a result, two of them were wounded and evacuated, while the military tried to engage the terrorist squad that carried out the attack.<\/p>\n

It was unclear at press time whether the IDF was able to strike the attackers.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, the military established a curfew for nearby communities to increase alertness, although the IDF clarified that there were no suspicions of possible terrorist infiltrations into Israeli territory.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Friday, five Israeli soldiers from the Givati Brigade were badly wounded by Hezbollah anti-tank missiles as they were deploying near the border with Lebanon, the military confirmed.<\/p>\n

It added that, in the same incident, three other Givati soldiers were lightly wounded.<\/p>\n

The IDF\u2019s confirmation that its soldiers had been wounded came after Hezbollah<\/a>, earlier that morning, issued a statement saying it had initiated a \u201cseries of operations\u201d targeting \u201cIsraeli sites and bases.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, almost 500,000 Hezbollah supporters have been evacuated from their regular living spaces in southern Lebanon, Beirut, and some other spots, The Jerusalem Post has learned.<\/p>\n

In addition, the military said that it has carried out around 500 attacks on Hezbollah since the terror group reentered the fray of the broader conflict on Monday after around 15 months of a shaky ceasefire.<\/p>\n
