{"id":329270,"date":"2026-03-09T04:01:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T04:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/329270\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T04:01:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T04:01:19","slug":"uob-said-to-explore-sale-of-asset-management-arm-as-bidders-emerge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/329270\/","title":{"rendered":"UOB Said to Explore Sale of Asset Management Arm as Bidders Emerge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Free Newsletter<\/p>\n<p>Get the hottest Fintech Singapore News once a month in your Inbox<\/p>\n<p>Interest is emerging around <a href=\"https:\/\/fintechnews.sg\/tag\/UOB-Asset-Management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">UOB Asset Management<\/a> as its parent firm reviews options for the business.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-03-05\/amundi-kkr-temasek-unit-are-said-to-vie-for-uob-asset-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bloomberg<\/a> reported that Amundi, KKR and Seviora are among firms exploring a potential investment in the unit.<\/p>\n<p>A key issue in the discussions is how much of UOB\u2019s distribution network in Southeast Asia would be included in any transaction.<\/p>\n<p>The network provides asset managers with access to the bank\u2019s retail and wealth clients across several regional markets, making it an important part of the deal structure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3OmgK6B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Money2020-600x500_1.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"presentation\" aria-hidden=\"true\" data-nosnippet=\"\" data-pin-nopin=\"true\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>People familiar with the matter said the bidders have submitted non-binding offers for the asset management business.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions remain ongoing and there is no certainty a deal will be reached. Additional bidders could also emerge.<\/p>\n<p>UOB said it does not comment on market speculation and remains focused on delivering long term value to shareholders while meeting evolving customer needs.<\/p>\n<p>Amundi, KKR and Seviora declined to comment.
