EastEnders<\/a> actor Isabella Brown’s future on the BBC One soap has been clarified, after fans wondered if she had left the role of Lexi Pearce after playing her since 2018.<\/p>\n

The character has been seen in the last few months putting together a short film with Nigel Bates, and dealing with Callum Highway’s new relationship with Johnny Carter, and it looks like she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Isabella’s musical theatre school KA Arts shared an Instagram post<\/a> over the weekend confirming that the young star is contracted on the soap for quite a while, and looks like she might have even more big scenes on the way.<\/p>\n

“We are so proud of our incredibly talented Isabella, who has been confirmed to continue playing the role of #Lexi in @bbceastenders for the 8th consecutive year,” the post reads.<\/p>\n

“Isabella is heading into an extremely busy filming period, yet is still committed to her training and school studies.”<\/p>\n

Recent scenes saw Lexi learn<\/a> that Jay Brown, who was married to her mum Lola and left the Square last year (a result of actor Jamie Borthwick being axed from the soap<\/a>), is expecting a child with his new girlfriend, and that she’ll be a “big sister”.<\/p>\n

While Lexi said she was excited to go and visit Jay, she admitted that she wished things could return to the way they were a few years ago.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Isabella’s on-screen mum Danielle Harold, who left EastEnders in 2023, recently stated that she’s done with acting on soaps<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It’s not that [I’m too loyal to EastEnders]. It’s just more, it’s so hard work”, she said. “Soap is\u2026 actors in soap, oh my gosh, take my hat off. Like, it’s such a hard job. And, yeah, I like the freedom a little bit of being able to move from job to job.”<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. <\/p>\n
