infrastructure amid the AI race with the US.The infrastructure buildout plan forms a core pillar of the nation\u2019s draft <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/china\/diplomacy\/article\/3345767\/inside-chinas-15th-5-year-plan-ai-fusion-and-defence-drive-next-frontier?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">15th five-year plan<\/a>, released last week during the legislative \u201ctwo sessions\u201d meeting and still subject to final approval by the National People\u2019s Congress.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">China\u2019s plan to expand its technological infrastructure includes the development of \u201ca nationwide computing network\u201d underpinned by tiered computing facilities across the country and the accelerated launch of space internet and its large-scale consumer applications.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Other areas outlined for forward-looking development include fifth-generation advanced and sixth-generation telecommunications, along with facilities supporting data and \u201clow-altitude economy\u201d sectors.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\"
