Kiss legend Gene Simmons tore apart<\/a> celebrities who weigh into politics, saying they should shut up and focus on acting and singing.<\/p>\n

The 76-year-old outspoken star slammed actors<\/a> such as Ben Stiller and Mark Ruffalo who regularly verbally attack President Donald Trump<\/a>, especially after his airstrikes on Iran<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBasically, shut the f\u2013k up,\u201d Simmons told TMZ<\/a>. \u201cDo your art and shut up. Nobody\u2019s interested in your opinions, that includes me. Who I vote for. Who I like.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho the f\u2013k do you think you are? People in America work hard for a living and they don\u2019t want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces. It\u2019s time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simmons said it would be best if these entertainers just did their art because he said nobody cares what they think about the war and other political issues, including him.<\/p>\n

The rocker then suggested that you might as well go ask the \u201cKeeping up with the Kardashians\u201d star Kylie Jenner<\/a> what she thinks of the war when the likes of Stiller and Ruffalo weigh in on politics.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the latest drama between Trump and Stiller<\/a> after the actor recently called out the Trump administration on X<\/a> over the use of a clip from his 2008 movie \u201cTropic Thunder.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHey White House, please remove the Tropic Thunder clip. We never gave you permission and have no interest in being a part of your propaganda machine. War is not a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAvengers\u201d star Ruffalo has also attacked the president following the airstrikes on Iran and took to Threads to post an article about President Trump\u2019s son-in-law Jared Kushner<\/a> who represented the US in negotiations with Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe [Kushner] was sent to make sure we went to war,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n

In a post on X<\/a> on March 2, Ruffalo encouraged people to call their \u201cSenators and Congress members to say: No war with Iran! Two critical votes are happening in both chambers to stop Trump\u2019s illegal, devastating war.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simmons\u2019 comments on politicians and politics have fluctuated over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During the rocker\u2019s appearance on Bill Maher\u2019s \u201cClub Random\u2019 podcast<\/a> in 2022 he said that when Trump first got elected in 2016 he was happy but felt different a few years later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Starts at the 52:03 minute mark: \u201cI knew the guy from before then. \u2026 Oh, yeah people will tell you, \u2018Oh yeah Gene was happy Trump won.\u2019 I was, I didn\u2019t want Hillary [Clinton] to be happy,\u201d Simmons said. \u201cI thought, oh businessman is coming in. He understands how to run things.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe person that I saw first coming into power is not the person I saw within a year or two of that,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut I changed, the way lots of people changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Near the end of the podcast episode, Simmons echoed his comments about people needing to keep their thoughts to themselves about political issues: \u201cI think that\u2019s a good piece of advice for all of us. Keep your opinions to yourself, vote at the booth.\u201d<\/p>\n
