Chloe East, Billy Bryk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/sarah-sherman\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sarah-sherman_1\" data-tag=\"sarah-sherman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sarah Sherman<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/natasha-lyonne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_natasha-lyonne_1\" data-tag=\"natasha-lyonne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Natasha Lyonne<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/nick-kroll\/\" id=\"auto-tag_nick-kroll_1\" data-tag=\"nick-kroll\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Kroll<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/storm-reid\/\" id=\"auto-tag_storm-reid_1\" data-tag=\"storm-reid\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Storm Reid<\/a>, Martin Herlihy, Josh Segarra, Carol Kane, Janeane Garofalo and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/bailee-madison\/\" id=\"auto-tag_bailee-madison_1\" data-tag=\"bailee-madison\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bailee Madison<\/a> round out the cast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tRoommates centers on Devon (Sandler), a college freshman who asks the confident Celeste (East) to be her roommate. The arrangement leads to no shortage of passive-aggressive tension.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI was wondering what the process is for switching roommates,\u201d Sandler says in the trailer. \u201cI\u2019m having a problem with boundaries.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLater, Sandler tells her roommate, \u201cI would appreciate it if you didn\u2019t sit on guys\u2019 faces in my bed.\u201d East replies, \u201cThat is an incredibly fair request.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tLevack (Mile End Kicks) helmed the movie from a script by Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara Jane O\u2019Sullivan. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/adam-sandler\/\" id=\"auto-tag_adam-sandler_1\" data-tag=\"adam-sandler\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adam Sandler<\/a>, who is Sadie Sandler\u2019s father, produces the project alongside Tim Herlihy. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn an interview with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.teenvogue.com\/story\/netflix-roommates-captures-the-bizarre-intimacy-of-freshman-year-friendships-exclusive\">Teen Vogue<\/a>, Levack explained that the premise appealed to her because she doesn\u2019t know of many similar films focused on starting college. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI really loved that it was this super funny, honest investigation of first year of college, [when] there aren\u2019t a lot of coming-of-age movies about your first year of college,\u201d the filmmaker said. \u201cIt really is a super bizarre time in your life where you\u2019re leaving your family for the very first time, you\u2019re trying to define yourself outside of everyone you\u2019ve ever known and reinvent yourself, but you\u2019re also terrified and socially awkward and thrust into adulthood.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sadie Sandler is ready for a new living situation in the trailer for the Netflix comedy Roommates.
