Doja Cat<\/a> is opening up about her mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

In a new TikTok<\/a>, the 30-year-old \u201cPaint the Town Red\u201d singer revealed that she has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) as she addressed Chappell Roan<\/a>\u2018s recent run-in with paparazzi in Paris.<\/p>\n

Keep reading to find out more\u2026Doja said that she will often \u201cpretend to be happy\u201d in order to keep appearances. However, she said that all this effort has caught up with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m now struggling with BPD,\u201d she revealed. \u201cI don\u2019t know how long I\u2019ve been. I mean, probably forever. It\u2019s an agonizing condition.\u201d <\/p>\n

BPD is a \u201cmental health condition that affects the way people feel about themselves and others, making it hard to function in everyday life,\u201d according to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>. \u201cIt includes a pattern of unstable, intense relationships, as well as impulsiveness and an unhealthy way of seeing themselves. Impulsiveness involves having extreme emotions and acting or doing things without thinking about them first.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Doja said that she\u2019s been in therapy \u201cfor years,\u201d her BPD treatment would take eight years.<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t see, Chappell, 28, recently went viral as slammed paparazzi for disregarding her \u201cboundaries\u201d<\/a> while in Paris for Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

While Doja stressed that she was not extending her own diagnosis onto Chappell, she said that the \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d singer\u2019s boldness in the face paparazzi made her want to be more honest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love that she can be uncomfortable, comfortably, in front of people, and protect herself and be honest,\u201d Doja said of Chappell. \u201cI had to learn how to be honest. I had to learn how to be honest with myself. I lied to myself for years, for most of my life\u2026. I love that she can do that without hurting people. She hasn\u2019t hurt one person by being herself.\u201d <\/p>\n
