Directed by Lee Sang-hoon and targeting a fall 2026 theatrical release, the project wrapped principal photography ahead of the Hong Kong market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTrinity Media\u2019s Stephanie Chan, whose company specializes in Hong Kong theatrical marketing, framed the casting as a callback to some of Korean cinema\u2019s most commercially successful cross-cultural pairings. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time since audiences enjoyed a Korean film merging a Chinese actress and Korean leading man, in the tradition of Cecilia Cheung in \u2018Failan\u2019 and Tang Wei in \u2018Late Autumn,&#8217;\u201d she said. \u201cThese are memorable movies, and we hope Cecilia Choi\u2019s performance in \u2018Bluefish\u2019 is something audiences truly anticipate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tJi, known for \u201cKorea-Khitan War\u201d and \u201cHot Blooded,\u201d leads the cast as a drifter whose violent past catches up with him when he crosses paths with a mute milk delivery girl. Choi, whose credits include \u201cBeyond the Dream\u201d and \u201cTwilight of the Warriors: Walled In,\u201d co-stars alongside Indonesian action star Ruhian in a key supporting role. The film was shot on location in Yeongdeok and Busan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tChoi\u2019s broader regional profile strengthens the film\u2019s sales proposition.
