A radio show dedicated to mental health and wellness storytelling has partnered with a rehabilitation facility in Pembroke to amplify awareness of the issue.<\/p>\n
Kat Wade, the host of It\u2019s Been Said with Kat Wade, said that the partnership with Dignity House came on the first anniversary of the show, which airs each Monday for an hour from 7.30pm on Magic 102.7FM.<\/p>\n
She said that the pairing presented a \u201cunique opportunity to extend Dignity House\u2019s impact, amplify its mission and connect directly with the community it serves\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ms Wade added that the radio show aligns closely with the facility\u2019s values of dignity, healing and reintegration.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cThrough this collaboration, both parties can share their message to a wider audience both on air and in person, strengthening public understanding of mental wellness and reducing its stigma.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicholas Darceuil runs Dignity House \u2014 which provides support and treatment services for people experiencing substance abuse and mental health challenges \u2014 with his wife, Kim.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWith mental health it\u2019s so difficult to tell your story.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s Been Said has given our graduates an avenue to really tell it, and be heard.\u201d<\/p>\n
The show celebrated its first anniversary and the announcement of its partnership with Dignity House at an event in Hamilton last week.<\/p>\n
Ms Wade, a counsellor-therapist whose experience in social work has expanded beyond the island, shared the personal origin story and inspiration behind the show\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cI wanted to have this particular event, because we all deserve this moment where we just celebrate ourselves, a celebration of persons who have not only contributed to the beginnings of the show, but who have shared in the resilience of what we call life and inspired Bermuda with their story.\u201d<\/p>\n
With more than 40 episodes aired to date, Ms Wade said the show continues to uplift, challenge perspectives and bring the community together.<\/p>\n
She added that the journey of storytelling and healing has only just begun.<\/p>\n
