{"id":347901,"date":"2026-03-19T20:28:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-19T20:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/347901\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T20:28:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T20:28:09","slug":"cannes-marche-du-film-to-host-creator-economy-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/347901\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannes&#8217; Marche du Film to Host Creator Economy Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/cannes-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cannes-2\" data-tag=\"cannes-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cannes<\/a> is dipping a well-heeled and possibly bronzed toe into the creator economy. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhile some of the world\u2019s finest auteur filmmakers showcase their latest theatrical works at the Cannes Film Festival this May in the Palais, just around the corner digital content creators working across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and Tiktok will be taking part in the event\u2019s first ever Creator Economy Summit. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs per the Marche, the half-day summit will be a brand-new forum \u201cbridging traditional cinema and the \u2018creator economy,\u201d and exploring \u201cnew opportunities at the intersection\u201d of these two worlds. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe creator economy \u2014\u00a0recently valued at more than $250 billion globally by Goldman Sachs and set to nearly double by 2027 \u2014\u00a0is \u201crapidly reshaping how stories are developed, financed and distributed, as these creators expand into long-form storytelling and film production,\u201d said the event organizers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDue to take place on May 17 at the Plage des Palme, the summit will reporting bring together industry industry leaders, content creators, and other innovators, and will be open with an \u201coverview\u201d of the \u201cevolving landscape,\u201d following by \u201ccompelling success stories\u201d and case stories. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cTogether, they will explore the collaborations already emerging between these worlds, the challenges that remain, and the opportunities ahead for the future of storytelling,\u201d added the organizers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe growing prevalence of content creators in the traditional movie industry is not one that\u2019s gone unnoticed, especially at premieres where established critics have bemoaned studios and distributors giving preference to influencers.
