\n Staff at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) discovered the weapon this morning.\n<\/p>\n
\n They quickly informed West Yorkshire Police.\n<\/p>\n

\n The force has confirmed that there is no ongoing risk to patients, visitors or staff.\n<\/p>\n
\n A picture of the weapon shows it has a long black handle with a ridged grip and a metal head featuring a sharp pointed spike on one side and a curved blade on the other.\n<\/p>\n
\n West Yorkshire Police praised the quick response of both hospital workers and the on\u2011site security team.\n<\/p>\n
\n They added that staff and members of the public should continue to report anything suspicious.\n<\/p>\n

\n On Friday, a post on the West Yorkshire Police – Bradford East page read: “Thanks to their quick actions and partnership with our on site team, the item was safely recovered and removed without incident.\n<\/p>\n
\n “There is no ongoing risk to staff, patients, or visitors.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We continue to work closely with our healthcare partners to keep our hospitals safe environments for everyone.\n<\/p>\n
